°°Inktober Week 2°°

Share

The aim this week was to use more black ink in my drawings, or as SuperBastard put it in the Inktober thread: go for a chiaroscuro approach.

Day 8: I like this one. Not much to say about it, except I saw a lot of people draw witches and decided to try my hand at it myself.

Day 9: Decided to jump on the bandwagon and draw a space skeleton. Hi guys, I'm late to the party, what's up?

Day 10: I wanted to draw something with a plaid pattern and went with a scarecrow. Not the best but I still really like it.

Day 11: A product of sheer laziness. If anyone knows how to improve on this, drop me a line. This drawing bothers me but I can't put my finger on it.

Day 12: I saw a detailed zombie and wanted to try making one myself, seeing as I couldn't come up with anything. It's much harder then it seems! Zombies are definitely next-level stuff as they come with many layers and textures (bone, tissue, wounds, skin diseases...). First thing I did when I made this was draw a skull and I worked from there. I don't usually take this approach and that's probably why it looks so weird...

Day 13: I think this is my favorite. It looked like shit at first but I just kept adding black and it eventually became pretty cool.

Day 14: Inspired by Innsmouth I guess, or at the very least meant to look Lovecraftian. It's a pretty good thing to be inspired by if you don't know what to draw. It's supposed to be a White and Hammerhead Shark put together in a golf outfit.

Whoa, great stuff! You really took that advice and ran with it. And I'm sure everyone's delighted to see another recruit for the Interstellar Space Skelly Army! I think that werewolf might be my favorite here too, you did a great job on the textures.

Your use of black is stellar.
