This is my first 3D rendered Showcase to impress Osuka which you know is one of Newgrounds fewest 3D animators and one of many respected Flash animators.

This piece was created in 2 days time.
the Poly count is 8,574 (which surprised me)
i currently have been attending Monroe Technology and career enrollment for 9 weeks now!
I use a system called 3Ds student Max 2010 which is the most updated.

on a side note this is my first submission to the art portal with my work and i hope you all like it even due to the fact i could not create a better backround atmosphere ^_^; ( i know it sucks)

i hope to one day become Newgrounds greatest 3D animator!

i hope you like it Osuka :D

Well Made

This one is really great, even if there is not a lot of details who would make the modeling much more intresting, There is a good concept behind it. Even if it's a fantasy monster, the anatomy of the arms could be a little more .. strange..( i don't really know the good word i'm french) Also, if it's a render test you could use a material on it who woulb make it more easy to look.. The technique is called clean render, or something like that, the model don't have light shading on it who make it look like if he was wet.

Google is your friend, shearch for clean render in the images section, the 1st image is a kind of telescope, he use this technique.

In conclution: Good work! Really, a 9!
(sorry again for my bad english)

Is looking really nice

I like the character is really interesting, modeling organics is a real pain in the ass XD

You need to fix some details with the proportion, for example is hard so see the elbows. To make a great 3D art you need to get 1st a lot of reference to simulate the real world, try finding pictures of animal parts, for example the claws you get it from lizards and crabs/lobsters. Another example is that longer Spider legs are more creepy and that can help you if you want to make a scary character

My favorite part is the head, I like the head design and the Horns. I cant wait to see this character with Textures and Ligh/Shadows :)

VidGameDude responds:

first off i'd like to thank you for reviewing this!

i looked over the fact the elbows needed to be changed but it kept bending badly so i left it as is.
i also do agree with you that the legs should be longer so support the upper body.
the head was very easy and many people thought it was some kind of Gundam =P.

anyways thanks again for taking time to review my piece!
