Nice

These under water styles are always hard to do it seems but I have to say you could ad more stuff in this one like on the sand ocean adding more shells and such and some fish in the backround maybe even groups of fish looking at her would be a huge plus but that's my imput for the day more props more ocean creatures

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
More ocean stuff including shells and fish

~X~

ToxicMaiden responds:

Couldn't agree more! I actually went and touched it up awhile back. You can see it here: https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/toxicmaiden/mermaid-and-piano-re-worked

I really enjoy that sort of thing.

Her fin really looks like a banana in the thumbnail. ;) Maybe if the scales were a little more visible it'd give less of that impression? Also feels like the ocean floor is oddly blue, with just spots of sand shining through, and I think a light overhead would add to the sense of depth/being on the ocean floor. Looks nice otherwise!

ToxicMaiden responds:

OMG-I didn't even realize the banana-likeness until you mentioned it! That's too funny!

Yeah, figuring out how to work the ocean was the hardest part. Underwater work has always been a challenge in general.

Your feedback was very helpful, thank you!
