A Day In The Asinine Life

We're back!

Where have we been? Well, I embarked on a wondrous journey, slayed dragons, rescued fair maidens and even went on a trip to Mordor to visit the volcano and dispose of a ring. What noteworthy things did you do?

Okay, here's the truth.

As an artist, I am always looking for ways to better my art. Last year, I got an opportunity to do something amazing and learn from a man whose work has been a great inspiration to me in my career, Stephen Silver the Lead Designer on Disney's Kim Possible. Soaking up the vast knowledge that poured out of him and taking times to sharpen the tools he gave me, I locked myself up dedicating myself to you my follower. One day I dream of the day that our ranks may break double digits that is fantastic unrealistic dream, but what is a man with no hope?

So here it is, the new art direction for Asinine Circus, a more vibrantly coloured world with more movement, depth and GASP is that a background? My first one ever thank you, and yes its based on my actual kitchen.

This is the first of the new batch of comic strips, at least three more have been written and well be working on a new schedule to have regular updates on the site.

If you are interested on seeing behind the scenes, my thoughts on art and character production notes follow me on tumblr: http://asininelife.tumblr .com

P.S. The comic is what actually happens when Adam and I get together to âEUoework on the comicâEU. Most of the time something ends up distracting us and very little actual work gets done. In many cases, no work gets done.
