Standard procedures in the hospital regarding infected individuals.
*For the time being, infected individuals should be considered a level 1 biohazard. disinfect all equipment that are in contact with the patient promptly.*
Patients who who appear to be delusional are to be placed under close inspection as this seems to be one of the first symptoms of the infection. The level of delusion is usually a good indicator to define how far in the onset of the infection the patient is in.
Patients with visible signs of infection (Discolored and purple iris and/or excessive muscle spasm) are to be handed over to the emergency services immediately and transported away from the hospital for special care.
Patients who are suspected of being infected should be considered priority in the hospital and they should be treated and diagnosed before other patients.
Conversing with patients who show signs of possible infection is not recommended and contact with them should be avoided. Doctors should wear basic protection (gloves and basic respiratory mask) at all times when in contact with such patients.
Infected patients are known to sometimes (~20% of cases) become violent in their delusional state, use of tranquilizers is suggested until emergency service personnel arrive.
Should you suspect that you have ingested or got tainted material in your system, keep an eye out for any symptoms, if any appear contact the emergency services for special care.
Patients sent to special care are held in quarantine inside the facility until their condition improves after which they will be sent back to the hospital for a final check up.
