I'd never really just painted a picture in photoshop before, but it was so much fun!! <3 Im really glad I finally tried it, and im sure i'll do more.

As for the subject matter, whenever i started taking my first art classes in seventh grade our first assignment was to close our eyes and listen to a story that ended at a creek with beautiful multicolored birds at the end. The assignment was to draw the birds how we imagined them.

I was going through my old art folders and found that picture of the rainbow birds. Im still pretty fond of it, for nostalgic reasons, and I decided to do another picture with them just to show how much i'd improved.

If youre interested, heres the original from seventh grade :]

I'm just going to give a plain old "Wow" for this one, truly impressive. Although the texture of the water doesn't look too realistic, it looks like the background didn't get the same treatment as your birds, that look just marvelous. Anyway, wonderful piece.

Amazing......

This picture is absolutely brilliant. I love the birds, they seem very lifelike, but have some weird fantastical element to them, which means you must have a GREAT imagination, haha, at least in my opinion. These colours really really bring out the beauty of the scene! I really can't explain how much Ilike this, hahahahaha

Oh wow

This is awesome!

I loved the colors you used.

I like how the bright colorful birds are hanging out in the dreary, foggy river. Sets an interesting mood.
