I think it looks alright and I wish I could draw this good, but that doesn't mean its really that great (no offense). I made sure to look at the picture thoroughly before I read the other posts and I noticed that most of it isn't symmetrical and like spacecase said, the whole outline of it makes it appear the lightsource is above him or behind him. If that was where the light was then all the stuff like his arms, chest, and hooves wouldn't look like there was light on it. It also doesn't look that greatly detailed to me either. Other those things, I think you did a great job with your picture.

highlihgts

the highlights are wrong.
if you notice the highlights on his back.
and then the lights on his chest and abs.
You wouldn't be able to see both. The light looks like it's coming from above (based off of the back highlights) but if he was crouched over we would not see the ones on his chest.
