EDIT: Winner of the 2013 pumpkin carving contest and frontpaged! Thank you Tom and everyone who gave their support! Congratulations to the other winners, and everyone who submitted this year to make it an awesome contest!

Happy Halloween fellow Newgrounders!

This year, I give you a carving of SickDeathFiend's mutated child that wears pumpkins, on a pumpkin.
Mind. Blown.
I'm extremely happy with how this turned out. I think I'm finally getting the hang of this herbaceous medium. Please tell me what you think!

Be sure to check out SickDeathFiend and Evil Dog's kick-ass game, Freak o' Lantern, without which, this carving would not have been possible.

It's like, bitchin' good man, a real spiritual transference of the character... to real life.
Now... can you make any money from doing this? Hope next Halloween, you get some pricey commissions from the folks in your hood!

I really appreciate that man!
You know, I never even thought of making some of these up for friends or for commission, that is something I'm going to have to seriously consider. A great idea!

I think we already have a winner this year! It's spot-on, man. I really need to learn to carve like that too. Just look at the wrinkles in the forehead and the lines around the mouth! there's so much detail. Great job.

Thank you very much Jojo!
I really hope I at least place in the top three. I can't draw, code or animate, but god damn it I can finally carve a pumpkin.

That's awesome, I would never be able to do something like this.
What did you use to carve it?

Thanks man! Just keep practicing!
As for the tools used; I have a very basic set of wood carving tools. They are each about the size of a pencil with different tips, but I really only used 2 of them. One for gouging out the deeper parts and one for shaving off the skin.
