Eldritch Girl II

Share

Hey, I remember me, I haven't posted a thing in like a few months, I wanted to check but my internet was being slow so I couldn't check. It's been a while though.

Anyway, here's a lovely crafted lovecraftian eldritch girl, because I liked the last one and I'm still not over the whole tentacle thing, it's starting to become a real problem. Enjoy this thing!

Boring part. I haven't uploaded since like April because I've gone back to work as a tattoo artist with a friend, and although I still draw a lot, it's mostly ink drawings which I for some reason feel bad about putting on newgrounds, don't know why this place just feels more like a digital art kind of place. I do put these ink drawings on shitty places, like twitter and instagram, but those are for fags so ignore this.

The piece is reminiscent to Mike Mignola's (Hellboy, Baltimore) art style, especially with the alterations between heavy and light dark lines between the colored portions of the piece. Intricate details in the background such as the wood carving and the rough skin on the octopus really help the eldritch women stand out. Cool work.

Skaalk responds:

I do love me some Mignola. Thank you!

You should make an art thread in the forums and put your ink drawings on there. I'd love to see them.

And really cool art as always. The colors are awesome with the high contrast and all.

Skaalk responds:

I probably should do that, and I will even. I've got a huge backlog on ink drawings that I can use to fill up the thing with until I run out and then disappear for another 5 months. Also thanks a lot.

If your ink drawings are good, I'd upload them, The problem is the stuff that isn't digital is usually isn't good. (Also tattoo artist? That's awesome.) Anyway cool to see this design again, it's interesting how the design has changed a bit, since last time. Once again, love the coloring, coloring is deffinately something I think you excel at.

Skaalk responds:

Thanks, yea I think that is why I don't see many ink drawings on here, I think will upload them in the future. And thanks for the kind words.
