Average Score: 10.0 / 10
This is ridiculously good. I could look at it for hours!
Awesome!
it is amazing!
"oh, what's down there?"
I bought the 3 foot poster print. Totally worth the money. It's a truly inspiring piece of art and I'm happy to own a print of it. Keep up the fantastic work please.
thats what i call art
10/10 5/5
Thats beautiful! wonderfully done art and i like the way its all off a cliff and then there are the evil demons and ya its great!!
She's brave! I'm afraid of heights...
Great job.
Exellent !
I like the transition between the different places
Your technique is amazing !
Your control of color and value is really good. There is allot of negative space though. I don't think the leaves are enough to tie the top and the bottom together. When I look at this I either look to the top or the bottom. There should be something more in between. Maybe you could extend some roots from the tree with some highlights to separate them from the increasingly dark background. Otherwise this is a great work.
Author's Response:
i think that is due to the fact this is shrunk down. in the full view, it's meant to have that scrolling effect. that is lost in the small view here
that's all i can say
if i could ill rate it 20/10
Thats crazy and cool Cx
the colors mix with each other perfectly
That is not my kind of swing
This particular work challenges the fine boundaries between
aesthetic graphic work and artwork, with a very distinctive
but openly interpreted message.
It works best on a screen in which we can scroll downwards.
and this is my favorite piece. I LOVE IT.
The colours on the tree, and especially the girl just wow me, i dont know why, they just do.
omg its sooooo goooodd
hey i loved this so much i ordered it as a poster!
its on its way to my mail right now.
the hell like worms at the bottom are very stunning and the leaves falling down into the pit are my favorite part
Thats one helluva fall.
Something about the spirit, the eternal child, swinging over a precipiceâEU¦ there is a lot said with this image.
Wherever she is... she's looking right into hell.
the art tells itself... its just wonderful!
Ok straight up this is down right amazing.
-the use of shades and color contrasting from bright shocking colors to dark mellow is perfect, I am checking your stuff and man I have to say your great!
Keep up the good work!
this is a very good drawing, the colors blend perfectly and the scene change as you look downs shows how oblivious people can be
You just tipped a bowl of epicness onto a paper!!!
this is awesome!!! i love this i like the whole concept :D
This piece just literally blew my mind...I feel honored just to even had gazed on it.
really nice tree lighting. and i like how the leaves are a nice thread that ties together both sides. i also like how this is different from your usual stuff. jesus christ that little girl is brave though. i'd never swing on that thing.
I think you could make some money by selling this as a poster, i'd sure as hell want one.
And it's a real scrolling down and up experience: first you see a girl on a swing looking down without a care in the world. Then you just follow the leaves down and think: it's getting dark, that's a long way down. Afterwards you start wandering why you're seeing some red leaves, and when you're all the way down.........wow
Then, srolling all the back up, asking yourself why she isn't trying to get her ass out of there.
You don't see stuff like that too often, great job dude.
And by the way, Sonic eats chilidogs >=(
Author's Response:
i do sell it as a poster on my website
I think it is really nice!
That is epic, I always find merging greens /blues into a red colour hard, you pull it off really well with your works :)
you....you just printed down my soul!
Incredible well done contrast!
This is defintitely my most favorite painting. I thought this was incredible when i saw it. Very very nice work. I wish i could buy this!!! wish i could give it 50 out of 10 for a rating
loved it. I also like how swingkid is looking down. "hello?" fantastic
favorite!!!!!!! this is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
<3
I wasn't expecting the the hell descent! This work is very graceful, and you added a nice touch with the falling leaves.
Beautiful, yet harrowing.
zomg call health and safety ! i love the pic :) by the way how did she get on that swing D: and how will she get off? my fav pic on newgrounds :D
oh i love this one man. and lol? SONIC?! WHAT DOES HE HAVE TO DO WITH THIS!?
anyways....GET THAT GIRL OFF THAT SWING! look how dangerous it is.
nevermind, she gets cool points for putting so much at stake.
well doen.
I took the time to look over all your stuff, It is all awesome. Very haunting and unique. This one is my favorite.
Kinda reminds me of the windmill from the gorillaz. Amazing style and color, and a brilliant scene. Well done :)
You are the newgrounds definition of sexy.
No words. Its to good
the detail is perfect down to each pixel
and overall its beautiful
I honestly don't know what to say.
It's a wonderful painting, good job!
Wow that is so friggen beautiful and yet so friggen evil! I just love how the innocent child could easily be taken by the evils below...which can be a metaphor about modern society....
I know you and my buddy almightyhans have had your disputes, but this piece is quite wonderfully done. I very much enjoy the polarizing color use combined with the very tall and open composition.
Author's Response:
the fuck does that have to do with anything
That´s soooooooo great. A little empty in the middle but hey, it´s gigantic. Continue your awesome work!
Great depth. Wish i could see it all at once and it was like 7 feet tall or something.
Good idea, well drawn tree and the shafts of sunlight contrast really well with the fire and demons.
This is one of or the best artwork on this site!
Although it was photoshop it still owns...
Very realistic and effective. I love the high detail...
your the best ^^
How does this not have a one 100% 5/5 record? especially considering the fact that every one who has bothered to coment (which so far, is alot) has scored you 10/10
I just have one problem, who would let a little girl swing over hell? I think someone should call Child Safety....
Its hard to see tho, and when i do full size its fricken huge. I still love it tho.
Author's Response:
well i can't do anything about small it looks in the preview mode
Epic work, rtil. It reminds me of a color script.
nice pic, everything is well made, just awesome...!
I figure you probably don't give a shit about what I have to say, so I'll just make it known that I really like this picture. The winding leaves in particular.
I can't even find anything to say. This is just perfect.
Wow. This is absolutely incredible. Both in execution and concept. Beautiful, man.
this is going to be my top fav
it's genius and pure it's perfect
Seriously man, incredible. Your amazing skills in colors, composition and pure expression shines through in this image. I evny you, being able to translate an idea into such an strong image.
Kudos.
Totaly motivating.
I don't believe it, first time I go on the Art Portal there's already something as amazing as this. The transformation from a gleefully bright cliffside to the depths of hell is just sheer brilliance, almost tear inducing. This really is amazing.
I love this kind of art. The dynamic between the upper and lower sections create a strong contrast. I really don't know how to describe it but I love pictures like this. The girl in paradise just simply swinging over the abyss that leads to Hell.
What did you use to make this amazing piece of artwork?
On a side note, if I was that girl, I'd jump and do a flip.
Author's Response:
photoshop
This is goddamn incredible. Easily my favorite out of all the things on NG. The style, the lighting, it's all just incredible. <3
I still can't believe how amazing it is. Everything is great, the colours, the lightning, the flames. You are extremely talented!
This is probably the best thing I've seen on the whole art section.. It's just amazing.. Keep up the good work!!
This is by far the greatest thing I've seen you do. I have the poster print above my bed.
Great work.
I honestly don't know what to say.
Marvellous might be a good word to describe this.
~Martin
just pro, keep uploading more great works like this
How long does it take you to paint something of this side and what do you use?
Wow this is brilliantly detailed, kinda freaky though... nice work!
Normally a big long piece like this is hampered by the standardized computer screen, but you seemed to have scrolling in mind in the design of the picture. I always loved this piece because of that (well, and the colors :3).
That's a very unique and epic picture. What did you use to make it?
Author's Response:
photoshop
Far out. Cool concept and sweet execution.
This is beautiful - well done!
come with us to the gates of hell
where we'll drag you from where you aaaaarrrrrrrrrrre

I'm still looking to buy this. I might go and buy it on your site, but is there any chance you'll be at wizard con and I can buy one off you there? Still, this piece is amazing and has always been one of my favorites. Can't wait to see it IN MY ROOOOM!
Author's Response:
i've never heard of wizard con so i probably won't be there haha. you can still buy one on my site, they are only $10 w/ shipping now :)
I had no idea you had such talent! An incredible drawing, great job!
-Blayke :)
I think it makes great use of the vertical stretched canvas, nicely done ;)
