For Jazza's Challenge of the Month for March I drew characters from The Adventures of Puss in Boots watching a snake eat a crocodile. I originally was going to draw the characters walking across a small bridge over a swamp like area with a crocodile or two in the water. But then, as I was searching for some references of crocodiles online, I came across an image of a snake eating a crocodile and gave me another idea. As I was re-watching the show, I would pause on certain characters so i could sketch them and figure our how to draw them. So in the image I have Puss, Dulcinea (female cat), Artephius (old man), and Toby (pig) watching in shock the snake eat the crocodile. I wanted to also see if I can express the correct face expressions on these characters. In the back I thought it would be funny to put Mayor Temeroso running away after seeing the snake and croc. In the show, I think it's so funny how big and tough looking the Mayor is, but is scared off everything. Even though this illustration took me forever, I enjoyed doing it. Ignore my bad line art. I'm still working on getting better at that. I just have always prefer doing sketches over finished work.
