Still Mortals

Share

"Still Mortals" is based on the concept that no one is invincible. Even in her maximum glory, Erylide, the elf queen, is only mortal. Evils far more powerful threaten the world that it is her duty to protect. In video games, just when you think that you cannot be beaten, you finally find your true rival. We all know the sorrow of a fallen hero, yet we know that our friends and those who watched us battle from afar - like her apprentice - will retell our story and let us live on until they are old enough to forge their own path and become their own legend.

The art style of this is extremely pretty, it really fits with the colors and the theme of fantasy. I think the little health and status bars are a very clever touch. Keep up the good work

This is a wonderful piece good use of spatial positioning which really moves your eye through the piece. The expression on your characters is very well done. I would only recommend adding some darker values to your background to give the image more depth. Great Job!

Quixotica responds:

Thank you; it is my first time making backgrounds, so I had a lot of fun with that, even if I did not really know what I was doing... Thank you also for the advice, I'll need it when I make the backgrounds of some of the new projects I am working on.
