This is a piece in my current series "Chessboards". This is the second in the series and was drawn solely under stream of consciousness which means nothing is pre-planned and is mostly done in 1 or a few nonstop sessions. The purpose of which is to attempt and access the subconscious brain which can in turn create very surreal or dreamlike images. The stairs section in the bottom right was heavily inspired by M.C. Escher.

This series of art pieces are starting to look awesome! They are all deeply detailed and worked on really well, I haven't seen any rushing in your art which is great.
