Well done man. Well done.
A commission done for NG user Chronamut on the "Draw a Random User" thread; this is actually based off of a character of his original design.
Ever since my Iczer One & Nagisa art submission, I've felt compelled to go all out on hair instead of just making a hair-shaped blob and calling it a day... THIS GUY has more hair than 10 rock bands combined, feathers out the whazoo, and more thread-like, feather and hair-like artifacts hanging off of his costume than I had taken note of...as I started wading in on the hair, and drawing the rough of the feathers...it finally hit me just how much work I was throwing my way...
But y'know what, I'm getting paying commissions more and more frequently. I'm building a resume for professional employment in this kind of stuff...so I kicked myself in the ass and got this thing COMPLETED for the sake of practice. I still need to work on my speed, but compared to Fogahn a while back, I AM getting faster.
If there's only Good, Fast, and Cheap, I strive to become good and fast so it ain't cheap.
I had fun working on this one...and since I had to reinstall everything on my Windows XP, my Adobe Creative Suite is running on its final day of trial mode...hopefully, this ain't my last art submission for a while. I've been looking for solutions since I've lost the original serial key. Wish me luck.
Well done man. Well done.
Damn I did not know you could draw like that man
Sometimes I wonder how people draw stuff like this.
Time and patience, trial and error, music as a metronome, Photoshop and a Wacom Intuos 3.
So intricate! This must have taken a while. There's just so much detail in the line art. I could make some mild complaints about how the shading is a tad bit off, but the gorgeous quality of the lines easily make up for that.
Fantastic work!
