This was notbad and it seems you really put together this in a nice fasshion the "SKIN-TONE" did come out well also very nice indeed, I thaught, love the backround aswell, its a fine piece if you ask me no changes should be made here as you did a fantastic job on this.

Decided to try out realistic skin stuff, this time seriously, never done that before... probably took me 5 hours, was up all night watching TED on Youtube while I figure this puzzle out.
Done with: Paint Tool Sai, mouse, standard reference picture taken in front of the bathroom mirror. no brakes crackers and mango juice.

Woah, this is almost like a photo. I'm always amazed when people draw eyes that really look alive, that's probably the biggest challenge in the painting. Great use of white to bring out edges and lines, overall it's got a very sketchy and allthesame realistic feel to it. Would be interesting seeing the reference picture to compare, maybe something you could include in a corner of the image, just a thumbnail of it? Great portrait!
