Almost didn't make it in time, I hope this will still be accepted to the COTMXMAS14 contest. It's still the night after 24th here in Finland! I had planned a background which can be seen in the WIP-thread, but I ran out of time :(

Anyways, quoted from the WIP-thread:
"Hello, first time participating. I've been a lurking fan of Jazza's videos for a while (I can't state enough how much I love him for supporting beginning artists) and now I finally found the time to take part in a challenge so here I am, yay.
The Grinch (the one with Jim Carrey) was my favorite movie when I was a child and I used to borrow it from library and watch it a million times every Christmas. There's just something brilliant about how unappropriate the character is and just thinking about getting to paint all that green hair is getting me jumping in my chair. It's going to be a great challenge!"

This ended up my own take on Grinch's appearance since I drew the base for the painting from my childhood memory of how he looked. I hope everybody has a great christmas and remembers it's not the presents that count! :)

//edit: I removed the unfinished background entirely after seeing it on a big screen in stead of a tablet. It was dragging down the whole illustration. I hope later I'll find the time to paint in the original bg-sketch
