I don't like Superman but for some reason I like this picture...lol....strange!!
When Jazza announced that the November theme was a portrait of a man, I knew right away who I wanted to draw. Superman means more to me than just physical strength, and it's this moment from Grant Morrison's "All-Star Superman" that defines his character for me.
A trembling young woman sobs on a ledge with hundreds of windows beneath her feet, the sidewalk just a thin strip below. Hands clasped together, she gathers herself for the final leap. As she closes her eyes, an unmistakable red and yellow "S" appears behind her. A burly hand grasps her shoulder with gentle firmness. She whips her head around to see Superman holding her back from tumbling over the edge. He only says, "You're much stronger than you think you are. Trust me."
