**Disclaimer* This piece is for the movie review section of my school paper. While there is of course a heavy shadow hanging over the Dark Knight right now, this picture is intended to focus on the movie itself. No irreverence is intended by avoiding the tragic events of last Friday night in this article illustration.**

Disclaimer aside, I am excited to be drawing my first professional Brooding Batman picture. While I am nowhere near the level of the godly comic artists out there, I still feel this is an important artistic milestone for someone who wants to be a graphic artist one day. First Brooding Batman picture should be a Precious Moments statuette.

I also apologize for any inaccuracies with Catwoman- I have not yet seen the movie, and I was in a place without internet when I was working on this piece. I only had grainy phone pictures to reference for her. Knowing my luck, she probably doesn't even use a whip in the film. I'm probably just a big phony spreading lies around.

Also while working on this I realized that Christopher Nolan has a thing for big eyed brunette females. I may be overlooking a few characters, but for the most part Nolan's female leads have all fit this description. Guess we now know Mister Nolan's type~

Great artwork!
Also watch the movie, because it was the best movie of all time I've ever seen and I recommended! I would rate a 4, but I'll give it a 5 just because I love the movie! In yes, catwoman did not had a whip at all!
