Author Comments
Another entry for the Clocktopia Art Gallery Collab, this time including frame. This one is based on the famous piece "The Treachery of Images" better known under it's tagline "Ceci n'est pas une pipe" ("This is not a pipe"). Accordingly, this means "This is not a clock".
It took some hours spread over the last weeks, so I can't really tell how long. All done with GIMP and a Wacom Bamboo.
Yes that's my scrawly handwriting, but I didn't want to use the text tool.

I get a little colour palette together for every base colour to add shadows and highlights, like 3 or 5 colours, and blend them together.

I was thinking of "Ceci n'est pas une horloge." or "...pendule." but I think clock is a proper name in this case.
