As again, another old piece, maybe a year old, but it was painted about 5months ago. This is a self portrait of myself as a zombie. I highly enjoy this piece, one of my best in my opinion.
I thoroughly like the brush paterns.
Though the shading might be a spot to focus on, the shadows appear to be random, and misplaced.
Another area might be the hand. The human hand is much more difficult to some than to others, what helped me was looking into anatomy to see how bone structures worked with muscles, and how that looked with skin over it.
I will be looking for more by you.
This is really helpful, like I said this is a old piece of my artwork. But you are right on the shading and hand, I mostly enjoy the face. I can say that I have improved a whole lot on shading (and when I will get art supplies) I will paint some more, as for the hands I still do have trouble and I will definally look into what you suggested .
