I had a couple sketches on the backburner and saw that pixel day was around the corner sometime last week, so I thought I'd throw something together before getting back to work at the projects I usually chug away at. I'm really happy I got the chance to take another stab at pixel art!

My biggest inspiration when making this piece was Carrion's work (it made me really happy to see that he did the wallpaper for Pixel Day). I had a weird, sand-filled creature that I sketched up about a year about, and was hoping it'd translate well to pixel art. I tried to get this working as a .gif, but things just weren't working out for that in terms of colors, sharpness, etc.

If there are any weird contrast/lighting issues, please let me know too. My laptop monitor is getting washed out with time, and I had to use my phone to ensure that colors looked right.
