but I feel like there's just too much going on here, it just seems to me that the barbed wire and roses are too bold and take away from the cross, maybe if they were faded a bit more?

There's is two words in the cross that you'll have to actually look closely to see. One is a name and the other is a word. This picture represents how love hurts, when it does.

not barbed wire, its part of the rose stem, and the cross is the way it is, because it says something on it, but u gotta look closely to see it
I don't even like crosses...
But I think this is beautiful. You have obvious skill. You just need to work on it a bit.

Thanks for the review, I've gotten alot better since then. This is my fifth drawing while working with ball point ink pens. Nice compliment and critique is really appreciated.
