Award for the most un-original name ever choosen for a deviation!

I present you "Golem vs Mech". This work was fully painted, and took me about 12 hours to finish. The details on the golem was mainly the most dificult part, but I think it turned out pretty good.

The work speaks for itself. Its an epic war in some unknown planet where native creatures known as "Golems" raise up from earth to protect their homeworld. Mechs are sent to support the remaining forces.

If your question is "How the hell is that mecha going to fight that Golem?!" my answer would be " Never underestimate a Mecha!" :D

Hope you like this work guys :)

This is an awesome work of art. The way you captured the epic large scale feel is uncanny. I'd like to compose an epic orchestral piece for this art. In fact, I might do that. I'll let you know if I post it, and I would appreciate a returned review :).

@Kinsei01 and others

Okay you guys also never underestimate the force of nature. The mech may have laser, but the Golem is a Titan. The Golems will not allow the mech's to destroy there planet, also the Golems are far more bigger.

More, Give Me More!

This scene, it feel like it is the first confrontation of these two types of contenders.
Each of them evaluating the advantages and disadvantages. The Golem's raw primal force, or the firepower of the mech.
I would love to see a few follow up shots at the destruction and the raw grueling combat that takes place. The mech fighting to stay out of the grip of the beast, for the pilot knows the moment the golem latches on, it'll be all over. And the Golem, thrashing wildly, lacking the finesse of the pilot. Both of them hoping and praying for the other to slip up just once.

A piece like this needs a conclusion. Even if there were two endings, with each respective side being victorious, but just to see the aftermath would make it all worth while.

Very nice.

there is no need to review a perfect peice of art. this left me with goosebumps the dynamic presentation of this epic battle was portrayed perfectly in this one frozen moment.

awesome

personally I think the mecha will win because it will go all super-mega-ultra-robot-mechanism thingie and shoot some giant laser from it's face or some crap.
