This drawing is over a decade old. Drawn my my dad, who passed away 3rd of November 2006, with me acting as "artistic advisor".
The scene depicts a fantasy creature getting lowered into the ocean, gazing upon the vivid life of the shallow sea. He points to a crab holding a sign that says "Where is Balle Malle?". Balle-Malle was a catfish we had in our rather large aquarium, and I would often look for him all over! He was about 20cm long (approx. 8"), and used to hide in dark nooks and crannies of rock-caves we had made. Good times!
I wanted to post this, the original drawing, before finishing it myself, with the same crayons he used, to document the drawing before passing the point of no return, if I can put it so dramatically. I look forward to completing it as thorough as I can!
