I agree with those 3 buildings too. Overall it is simple and effective. I like it, I'm surprised it's not scouted yet, way better than most of the crap in the art portal.

"Interesting texture"

The texture of the background reminds me of a pastel effect. It's a nice blend of the blues, but I would suggest that you spend some time making it look more blue - lose the white, it doesn't help the situation ;)

Of course, I think it would look better if you got rid of the tri-colour effect all together and made it just blue.

The three buildings to the character's right look a little too uniform for my liking - architecture is rarely like that, so throw in something different ;)

"Soothing"

The presence of the color blue throughout pretty much the whole artwork is very calming. I've always found it to be a color of peace and serenity, making this very nice to look at.

I'm also liking the cartoon style you've used, not to complex but not sloppy, either.

"Great color construction"

Excellent job with this one man, really loved it. Though I must say that I really loved your color construction, I love how you constructed a whole picture around different shades of blue, it made the picture seem very unique and intriguing, very good job with that.

Another thing I liked about this piece was it's texture, which made it seem very gritty and sad, like loneliness I suppose, but also made it seem dynamic and creative, nice job with that.

Excellent work here man, 5/5 from me, keep up the great work!

Even though the picture is mostly blue it's still quite nice to look at it (or maybe BECAUSE it is mostly blue? It's said that blue has a calming effect on people ^^).

I don't know if the slight cracks in the picture are intentional, but they fit to the picture anyway. It somehow underlines the sadness of the main character.

"Good style"

I see and understand you largely like using the color blue in almost anything you do, it's not a bad thing but you could possibly add in a couple more colors for effects and have it look cooler.

The lines weren't exactly straight or anything but I believe that was part of the effect you were aiming at. The person looks so melancholy as well. Why is he so darn sad? Oh well, it's cool to me.

Very nice picture.

"Nice"

I really liked the cartoon style here. You seem to follow the same theme of blue colors used in your animation and art work. Is this just because you like the color blue or are you trying to get to something deeper here such as emotion?

I do know the blue really helps the emotion here. As we couldn't already tell the man was lonely and sad, the blue just made it stick out even more and really pointed it out. Also, blue is my favorite color. :P

The cartoon style was very nice. It explains the squiggly lines and where the color just seems to be off by a little. I like the lack of detail actually, because it really makes sense having little detail pointing out the loneliness of this man even more.

"Not my style"

This wasn't really my style of art that I enjoy, but it does not make your score low for that reason. I don't think there was enough detail in this picture, although I do feel like you have the artistic ability to include it and it was not meant to have as much detail. This was a great piece of artwork, and the blue really helped to emphasize the feeling of the man in the picture. Great work!
