"Okay, so this'll take a bit of explaining. This is (loosley based on) sort of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. He's a person, in the short version of my explaination, that can break into the minds of others. While there, the laws of physics don't apply to him. Which explains the upside-down-ness. The Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland was one of his ancestors. And, in case anyone hasn't noticed, thanks to the title, his name is Chester. I'll make a character sheet for him and my Alice-like character later. Once I finish the drawing of her I'm working on, I'll put that up and explain her to everyone, also."

I decided to re-hash one of my friend's pieces for the fun of it. Turned out well.

this is different~

I haven't seen an outlook on the Chesire cat like this before! It looks like you used more eastern influences (festival mask, shodÅ scroll?) but also in the personality. It looks less serious or sinister, and more conniving, or joking.

The drawing itself is very accurate and smooth, but the folds of the sleeves don't react to the position like his hair and accessories do. It doesn't really fit in.

I really hope you continue with this project, because it looks like it'll be fantastic :3

Cheshire Boy,huh?

This guy actually reflects the original cheshire cat very well, however, in my eyes, he is just a small bit to colorfull, since the original cat was more like a shadowy figure (and I don't mean that fat, purple something drawn by Disney).

Also,I really would love to see the human equivalent of the Cheshire cat as it appeared in American McGees Alice. That guy would probably be more like a sinister man in a worn, grey smoking and a cigarette, but still with this grin..

I also want to see a Human Chesire cat from McGee. I might look into that.
