Proof of concept for a story in the works I’m calling Too Far To Climb - at least currently. Unlike the stuff I usually animate, this it’s going to be a lot more serious, with a full dramatic arc. Other than that though, there’s not much I can say about it because it’s going to be a while before it actually ends up getting animated.

However, I’ve been doing a lot of concepting and refining the art style so a point that I’m happy with. It still looks a bit rough around the edges, but hopefully it shows the amount of work I’m planning on putting into it. I think the letterbox to 16:10 definitely adds a little something to it!

I definitely need to practice more with my color choices in non-white light, but at least it’s a start. Ideally the animation will be at this quality or better, because I made sure to use blending algorithms, shading styles, and blurs that are all possible in Flash. So as long as we’ve all got the patience, it’ll come.

I might update more and tease more concepts like this one, but who knows.
