This is actually a few years old. At the time I was in the process of developing a kind of fan-fiction story with my brother that involved an alternate reality where video game characters were crossing into the real world thus changing their origin story. Aeris (I refuse to use Aerith as her name) never met Cloud because of this and through some circumstances I won't explain here, she wound up joining the Turks organization (Shin-Ra's enforcers) at Tseng's urging.

Now, we never completed that story because it became too convoluted, but the character study I did for Aeris survived. I'll post the colorized version as well. This was done in Adobe PhotoDeluxe 3.1 around circa 2004.
