It isn't an accurate depiction of his comic uniform at all. I think the Netflix series will start him out in black clothes , no horns , DD logo or billy club like they used to call it in the old days. I was a huge fan of this book in the 70s and 80s , and having seen so many departures of the classic costumes in hero movies and shows I figure there was room for an early version with his hands wrapped in tape like boxers do, the ninja style head wrap from his training with Stick and and 2 heavy duty Escrima sticks that had a bit more stopping power .
