A colorization of chihuahuadragon's pencil drawing. http://fav.me/d3llp7n

"In Mario Kart Double Dash, I always thought it was weird how the tables in the Daisy Cruiser keep moving back and forth.
And I was wondering what it would be like if Daisy invited Luigi on her boat for a romantic dinner."

I colored this using a painstaking technique that I've developed over the years. It strains Photoshop 7 and isn't very accurate. It was even a little more difficult since it was lightly drawn in pencil and improperly scanned, but I was up for the challenge!

I swear, Luigi is an acronym for Loser,Ugly,Idiot, Gay and, uhÃf¢EUÃ'¦ idiot. I mean, Come on! Daisy, who's unquestionably out of Luigi's league, does something very nice and romantic for that overshadowed moronic plumber, but he'd rather see a stupid movie with her. So what if there was one little flaw in this plan? It's still better then sitting in front of a screen.

Luigi! You're a loser! Even the official Nintendo Licensed RPGs depict you as such!

Needs more

So overall here is a brief explanation of what I feel about this drawing:

Add another panel to better imply what's actually going on with the table:
We just don't have enough panels, and it's going to cause confusion to some people just what is going on.

Better shading/lighting technique (stay away from solid black/grey/white):
Try to stay away from using solid white/grey/black colors when shading/lighting. It looks pretty unnatural and takes away the life the drawings could have had. This suggestion pretty much applies to your entire gallery. you seem to just use black and white rather than another color to shade/lighten.

Use more care when drawing the faces/eyes:
What you have there has caused the drawing to look rather rushed, and I feel the eyes especially could have been done better. Yeah I know, it's a comic but even the care you put in it to the appeal factor, makes a huge difference. That's what separates a great coming from a good one.

Overall: I feel you have done a good job capturing an idea I have never seen before, I just would suggest that take advantage of this opportunity and make it the best it could be.

Clean it up some

Take out those hatching lines. They are quite messy and don't mesh well with the coloring style you've chosen. The moving wine in the glasses is a nice touch to suggest movement, but I think you could take the idea further with some motion lines and such.

geterkikzkid responds:

Thanks for the review. I've implemented some of your advice and removed most of the thatching lines and changed the color of the motion lines.

It should be mentioned that this drawing was originally drawn with pencils and scanned improperly on a poor scanner. It was penciled lightly and the were many erasure marks and shading everywhere. It was a bit of a challenge to clean up, took nearly 11 hours of constant work to clean it and color it. Mainly because it was hard to differentiate the extra marks/smudges and missing lines. It would have been faster to trace it, but that would completely defeat the purpose I was aiming for.
