What a lovely combination of colors. The act a majority of the image are blue and purple make the yellow pop a bit.

I'm working on the background for the forest mouse animation; Suggestions?

So far, I like the composition of this layout. What I would suggest (since I saw your animation rough), is have the pathway (where the mouse is following) to pop out a bit more.
Right now my eye's is leading towards the left side since the focal point is there.
