Bobafettdk and I have been collaborating on this piece for a little while now. It was up to him to come up with a concept and me to create a 3D model of it.
I'm actually really happy with how it turned out and am looking forward to doing more collaborations in the future. It was also really nice not to think to myself "this needs to be lower poly so that i can animate it." I could completely let loose with the poly count. probably 50% of the polygons are in the tiniest pieces of the model, i.e. the shell casings, the bullet train and the wires you see at the rear. Ain't it the way.
It took a monstrous 3 hours to render all of the passes at 4k resolution. and then about another hour or so to put it all together and Photoshop.
