The idea for this is that each ship represents the struggle between digital and traditional art, but they still continue onward!
The ship on the Right is stylized as a pencil drawing, and the ship on the Left is of a digital style. For both the ocean and sky I attempted an oil painted look!

but holy cow i adore your usage of color and perspective.
What i do to study composition is study a little bit of photography (or even take pictures with your phone for practice). photography helped me a lot in creating a good composition.

As a fellow competitor, well, we are taking different approaches but regardless, your art is absolutely amazing, I'd say. Two ships on the same pic, having different styles but both of them fits perfectly on the pic, and that makes this pic wonderful.
But, hey, let's stop fighting and bind the two ships together so that they can sail more safely, okay? :)
