Naereth felt the chains tighten around themselves. Felt the pressure, the pain. They felt all this on their knees and before a stranger. They had seen the arm outreach from the cloak, and felt the hand rest at their beak.

Naereth wanted to weep and sat there in silence only meant for the both of them. The chains felt less tight...for just a moment.
