Shreem Great Horned Night Lick

Share

Feeling rather itchy for the night to start? Feeling..itchy in general? You may be surprised to find out you're not alone as you and more than 13% of the Northern Ichlan States have probably came into contact with one or more of the Shreem Species known as Night Licks and not even been aware of it.

A Close relative of the Day Nip, the Night Lick are just along the same lines in the blood relation as the Day Nip. However do not be fooled by their name alone. The night Lick although known to be rather friendly and easily excitable are nocturnal and tend to be rather aggresive nightly gatherers. Gaining their name for their rather abnormal behaviour displays, the Night Lick are known only to lick either when affectionate towards an individual or when on the premise to feed.

A specific anticoagulant chemical is found to be released in their saliva which once spread onto a wound causes the blood stream to increase in output of blood flow while also acting as a blood thinner and as a side affect cause mild irritation to the skin accompanied by itching. As with Day Nips the Night Licks are known to feed specifily on human and animal blood via the two frontal hollow fangs located on the top portion of their mouth. Although not truly considered dangerous individually the Night Licks are to still be cautiously observed at all times.

The most profound finding however of the Night Lick is the absense of a third claw as found in most species of Shreem. Although not understood currently the absense of the third claw is accompanied by a single layer of webbed skin between the two fingers of the Night Lick. A possible conclusion might be that the Night Lick may have once even belonged to an imitation shreem family and eventually evolved into a close relative species all together. If bitten by a Night Lick it is advised to quickly seek medical help. If not equipped with proper medical supplies pressure should immidietly be applied to the specific area of the bite to lesson blood loss.

All owners of the Night Lick are to be aware of the dangers of owning a Night Lick and are to be specially trained before ownership. If not within proper legal training with registration the owner will face loss of shreem ownership rights and possible incarceration.
