You know... I had a dream in which I sat in a dark grove whose pieces fit together just right, and with a being whose face didn't know what to be that day. We talked for a little and there was much to agree on. There is this..perception about ourselves and power. This ability to manipulate our destiny, forge our will, rule our lives or the lives of others. Often times the agreed path is through violence and aggression. Through bitterness and heart breaking.

Many times those who taste of freedom from the coils believe that the power they have inside themselves is to exchange violence back unto those that seemingly oppressed them to begin with. There is applause in hate and opposition, for the antagonist and protagonist to clash. " Now I have all the power! All the power belongs to me! " we say having hurt as we were hurt....or maybe...the power has us. Maybe there are some powers we have inside ourselves we pay little attention to because it would not make for a thrilling motion picture or song. Maybe there is a force far greater that extends beyond hate and unreason. That is not fire and yet has warmed this earth.

Just because they're not yelling at the top of their lungs...just because they're not printing it in the papers or making it this year's best seller..doesn't mean the concept is any less real. True power is in restraint and composure. It is in the urge to make a difference and stand in the surrounding of sadness and hate. It is the ability to..love. Some say those above will only know our plights when they see the smoke burning on the horizons..but I say no. Not this time. I say we as humanity, as collective individuals.. we must not emulate those that hate, and in so excuse ourselves for our own in the process. We must show this world love and press away from this cycle. We can do it. All things change, you know they do.
