Value Study - Self Portrait

Pretty much self explanatory.
Self Portrait done with a mirror to study values and lifedrawing. It was kinda hard and I bet I looked silly as fu** while doing this but I think it was good practice for me.

Whoa! I thought this was an actual photograph when i saw the thumbnail. It's the "simple" details that really make this piece Pop, like the highlights on the upper lip and glare of the glasses, along with the slightly darker grays behind the lenses. Amazing work, Very well done!

So cool you picked up on the details. It's funny, I didn't really think about it that much while drawing it almost like I've been doing it on autopilot ^^

I really like the unconventional expression and also the composition. You keep using Author Comments to fill it with excuses, stop it. ;D

Dunno about the excuses though. I like to point out what I've learned from a piece and that includes what I'm satisfied with as well as things I think I should work on some more. For me personally, this reflection is a part of the learning process ^^'
