Hajime no Ippo is definitely a great anime to watch and manga to read.
Great work on Ippo's muscles and showing his face is damaged with one of his eyes slowly getting swollen. He still has fire in his eyes though so, he's not giving up.

Finished New Challenger and Rising recently and loved it :) Hajime no Ippo is a definite favourite and best sports anime. Recommended for the watch and Rising's soundtrack ;)

It is my favorite boxing/sports anime I've seen, and sucks that another season has not come out yet. it's not always a thing an anime can capture so well the impact and tension present in the manga. I followed the artwork as best I could as I'm really taken by it and did not want to draw it in my style. Ippo isn't at his greatest unless he's taken a pounding lol
