Same character as my last sub, though he's lost the glint in his eyes and lost his seraph garb.
the red on this pic was my experiment in putting a little background into a pic, though it didn't work too well (and blood is a hard medium to work with for what I wanted it to do).

In my opinion the wings need contours under the flaps. The hands positions are kinda wrong especially the left hand. The background is good. the face is nice, especially the hair. The shadings on his leg and arm bands, breastplate and the hair is very nice. In my opinion you should study some anatomy and memorize the portions of the body and how they are allowed to move, that way the characters you draw will look more natural. Nice work and keep it up :)
Nice Contrast
The red works well with the black and white aspect, the shading is well done.About the only negative thing I can point out is the cropping.The leg ends in a bad spot,kinda distracts the eye and looks unfinished. I try to avoid cropping at the elbows and below knee, if you do it at the thigh, it may look a bit more polished, the wings too, kinda looks unfinished as it is.
