Magneto, fed up with the constant fighting amongst both mutants and humans, created a new Asteroid M, a haven for mutants away from the prejudice of humans. After gathering as many mutants as he could through invitation and trickery he put an end to the war with humanity. Using his maximum power, augmented by his new armor, he ripped the planet apart.
