Total points: 495
  • You gain Exp by breaking blocks and killing monsters. When you gain Exp you also fill your magic guage.
  • You only gain gold by killing monsters or collecting items.
  • 1 move is classified as breaking any amount of blocks. 20 blocks = 1 move, 1 block = 1 move!
  • Beer is cheaper than a night at the inn for small amounts of healing. I believe 1 beer heals 10% of your max hp rounded down to the nearest whole number. i.e. if your max hp is 67, a beer will heal 6 hp, much cheaper if your only down a small bit of hp.

    Tips

    Only use the first two tips if you aren't going for a "less than 500" game.
  • If you have the key and are next to the door or have 1 block between you and the door, Use all of your remaining AP before exiting the level. This will ensure as much EXP gain as possible. Be sure not to drop a monster into range of you.
  • If it's the last stage of a dungeon, and you plan on going to an inn afterwards anyways, use almost all of your health as well.
  • Slow is Fast!!! Take your time and you may find a route severl moves faster than the obvious one!
  • Sometimes it can be much easier to move things to you, instead of moving yourself to it!
  • Try to think several moves ahead to avoid getting yourself into a situation where a monster is garunteed to hit you.
  • Avoid moving blocks down on top of you or down close to either side of you if you are low on health. Monsters can fall onto the screen right into range and hit you.
  • The only dungeons you need to beat in order to beat the game are labeled in the photo at the very bottom of the page. Or click here for a larger image.
  • If you have 1 AP left you can destroy a 5 or 3 AP block(s) without taking health damage.

    Medals

    Chicken To(k)night - Roast a chicken using the flame magic! - 10 Points
Chickens don't hurt you, so just get one in one of the 8 blocks surrounding the knight and fire the flame magic. Simple! You could also use a chicken scroll(found or bought) to turn other enemies into chickens if you are having trouble finding one. While you are breaking blocks, there is a bar at the bottom that fills up, once the purple meter gets past the "f" flame magic is ready. if you move your cursor over the bar, it will tell you what each magic is. This was shown in the tutorial. Death from above - Perform a 3 x combo - 10 points
Kill Three Monsters in one drop. Easiest to move yourself to an edge of the screen than line up three monsters below you. Raconteur of Riches - Accumulate over 10,000 GP or more - 25 Points Once you get to about level 7 or 8 with more than 1000 gold go to the endless dungeon and and start playing until you make over 1100(extra 100 for the inn) eventually you will keep leveling up and making more and more. A Century of Clashes - Kill 100 enemies in a single game - 50 Points
If you beat the game and still don't have this medal, just go to the menu and click continue quest, then go play in the endless dungeon until you recieve it. A Veritable Knightmare - Complete the game - 50 Points
Beat the game! One Chance only - Complete the game in one sitting, without quitting or dying - 50 Points
Just play straight through and don't die. I reccomend that you do all of the castles in order to be the highest level possible in the last two dungeons. Also Reccomend that you buy the Stamina Amulet for 10 extra AP. Sir Grindalot the Wise - Reach XP level 10 - 50 Points
If you don't do it with-in the game, go back and do it in endless dungeon! The Order Of Thrift - Buy nothing from the shop - 50 Points
Not too bad if you do all of the dungeons and pick up lots of potions along the way. Staying at an inn/drinking beer/spending money on endless dungeuon is all ok to do. Grandmaster Flash - Complete the game in under 500 Moves - 100 Points
A move is anytime you break a block or groups of blocks. Turning the board or falling onto monsters/prizes is not a move. Buying as many skeleton keys as possible really helps get through the last stage easier. The only money I used throughout the game was to sleep at the whenever i needed to. Before Going into the final stage I had 2970 gold. I bought 4 skeleton keys and 3 Mysterious elixirs. Move slowly and think ahead! If you die and click retry stage, it will add all the moves of the stage before you died and the ones until you win. In other words:
  • Stage 1/3 - 8 moves
  • Stage 2/3 - died in 3 moves
  • Stage 2/3(restarted) - 7 moves
  • Stage 3/3 - 9 moves
Total - 8+3+7+9 = 27 moves.
This is the number of moves it took me in each castle: 33, 21, 21, 28, 45, 41, 34, 37, 56, 75, 90 Knightfall the First - Complete the game only destroying groups of 3 blocks or more - 100 Points
Self explanitory, if it says it cost 3 or 5 AP to break it, don't break it. Slow and steady wins the race, think ahead!

Boss Strategies


Orc general

In order for the bubble shield to go away from the big boss, you have to kill the other two. My strategy for this is to bring them into an alignment with the boss so i can drop straight down and kill all 3 in one shot.

Spider queen

Basically you have to kill her 4 times(once in every stump). Then she will move to the next one.
The image shown is that starting position, the stump the queen is in is #1, top right is #2, bottom left is #3 and bottom right is #4. When you turn the board the stump keeps its number. My strategy was to move stump 1 next to #2 and get a double, then do the same for #3 and #4. Just remember that you have to kill the one she is in first. i.e. move #1 on top of #2 so when you fall, you kill #1, she moves to #2 then you drop onto that as well.

Whale heart

Without turning the board, drop yourself 1 block, then drop the left row of vents by 1, drop yourself by 1 again, then drop the vents by 1 again. Turn the board to the left one time and drop the heart directly on top of you. then turn the board twice in either direction and drop onto the heart. If you can drop the left row of vents by two in one shot at the begining that would work too.

Mirror Image Boss

This boss starts out with just one of himself. drop on top of him to kill him. After that he will reappear every time with two mirror images. The way to tell the real one is that the mirror images have the same animation timing and the real on is slightly off. As you can see in this picture two of them have there hand further foward(less of their belt exposed) then the other one:

Always go for the one that doesn't match.

Final boss

The Black orbs attack after you mke 4 moves. Get yourself to the top center, then break blocks to get the Orbs out of your range. If they still haven't attacked break other blocks near the top that won't move anything. Also make sure there are no locked blocks in the center column beneath you. Once the boss appears, you can just drop down on top of him because he always appears in the middle.

Magic

I am not the best authority on spells because I hardly use them. The only one I reccomend is the final spell if you want to save time on a final stage, or stage before a boss stage. Most spells are not helpful on boss stages. Your magic meter fills as you gain exp(killing monsters, breaking brick.) Your meter will carry over from stage to stage, but not dungeon to dungeon. If you leave dungeon 1 with a full meter you will start dungeon 2 on empty. 1. Switch
Flips the board 180 degrees. Usefull if you a 90 degree turn would put you into a bad range or if a monster has landed on top of you and you dont want him to hit you again. I have never used this spell because there is almost always a way around it. 2. Flame
Destroys any monster in the 8 squares surrounding your square. Useful if you have landed in a bad spot with several monsters surrounding you. 3. Lightning
Destroys monsters in the same row or colomn as you. in other words, make a plus sign from your posistion to all edges of the board. 4. Mace
Destroys monsters diagonal from you. same as lightning just in a diagonal pattern. 5. Invisibility
Makes you invisible for 10 turns, can carry over from stage to stage, or life to life. Basically while your invisible nothing will hit you even in their direct range. I believe the only exception is if you are in the range of a black orb in the final boss battle. They explode on a turn base. 6. Annihilate
Kills every monster on the board. Great for clearing a monster thick room if you just want to get out of it quickly. Also good for clearing certain parts of the boss stages. Also: *It can kill the two guards in the Orc General fight. *It will kill the spider queen's current nest. *It will kill all 8 vents in the whale heart fight. *It can kill both the real and fake Mirror Image bosses 1 time. *It can kill all black orbs on the screen, or act as one hit on the final boss.

Items/Fairy Shop

Items 5,6,7,8,14 and 15 take up an item slot permanently. 1.) Poison Antidote - Poison Antidote - 50 Gold
2.) Stamina Potion - Fully restores AP - 100 Gold
3.) Restoration Potion - Fully resores HP- 250 Gold
4.) Mysterious Elixir - Fully Restores HP and AP - 300 Gold
5.) Ring of Restoration - Restores 1 HP every three moves - 5000 Gold
6.) Ring of Stamina - Restores 1 AP every three moves - 4000 Gold
7.) Ring of Experience - Increases experience gained by 10% - 3500 Gold
8.) Ring of Wealth - Increases gold gained by 10% - 2500 Gold
9.) Whole Roast Chicken - Restores 1/2 of your HP - 150 Gold
10.) Entropy Magic - Randomized every block on the board. Does not move monsters - 200 Gold
11.) Touch of Death - Kills any monster(or a suicide) that you click on, excluding bosses - 500 Gold
12.) Gallus Magic - Turns all foes on the board into chickens, excluding bosses/golems - 2000 Gold
13.) Skeleton Key - Opens any locked door in a dungeon - 500 Gold
14.) Stamina Crystal - Increases max AP by 10 points permanently - 2500 Gold
15.) Restoration Crystal - Increases max HP by 10% permanently - 2000 Gold
16.) Armors - Decrease damage taken by 10% increments:
  • Tin -1250 Gold 10%
  • Bronze- 2500 Gold 20%
  • Silver - 5000 Gold 30%
  • Gold - 10000 Gold 40%
  • Black Matter - 25000 Gold 50%
17.) Chicken leg - Restores 1/4 of your HP (not available at fairy shop)
