Damn

I love that percussion. That's from EW Gold right? I really need to save up some cash. Anyway, back to the song. The strings are quick and powerful which suits the theme quite well. The only part I wasn't completely sold on was the edning. It starts to build up and then it just ends. I know it's supposed to be shorter and loop for the competition, but I really wanted it to keep going. In the end you get a 9/10 and a five. Good luck in the competition.

MaestroRage responds:

I tried to do something with the ending which I guess people did not agree with. Maybe i'll make a version 2 of the song, but not likely.

Yes, this song is made largely of East West Gold. It is worth every penny. If you're going to buy one VST, I would recommend this one!

I DO plan on making an extended version though, full song length!

Thank you for the review Speedmetalmessiah! I'm glad you liked it!

Excellent as always

Hello again maestro.

One of the first details that I noticed in this piece was the percussion. In the beginning of this piece, the percussion immediately set a tone for action. I like these sorts of pieces, as they are always good for conjuring inspiration. Now then, the second detail of this piece that I noticed was the string set. The strings complete the overall heroic feel of this tune.

The moment i first heard this piece, I thought of a force composed of nothing more than dark shapes, thier true forms unseen by any mortal man advancing through the darkness towards a thin line of soldiers standing behind a small fortification. Just as the song climaxes, the dark shapes reach the fortification and battle begins.

Like I said, good as always.

MaestroRage responds:

I tried to incorporate a lot of percussion in this piece! My newest boss theme *Rage of the Champions* is another attempt of advancing the percussion scene. I used to hate percussion, but I always knew that percussion was absolutely vital for epic war scenes. So i'm learning to turn that hate into admiration... slowly.

As for you image... it was quite interesting. Dark shapes eh? Forces from another dimension. I had never even considered such a possiblity in the song, yet it is not impossible to conceive as such of course.

Thank you for the review Denver, i'm glad you liked it!

Awesome

I liked it. The new NG layout made me see the little badgers from the badger badger badger song, and it was hilarious they would go up and down to the song.

MaestroRage responds:

I personally don't even turn the visualizer on. I use the laptop for the most part, and the redesign has made the laptop overheat and shut down several times before XD. No way I can afford to turn on the visualizer. I will take your word for it :D!

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Simply amazing

In my opinion, the best piece of music on NG. Fantastic work, I absolutely LOVE it. You're guaranteed in Castle Crashers, and if you're not in it, I'll protest. :P

MaestroRage responds:

I have already prepared protest cupcakes!

I thank you for your words, but there are MANY great submissions for the contest, it was a thrill just being in it!

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Lost with No Wisdom

It appears before the battlefields that Kings march onward ignoring there own wisemen sentencing them to death. The battles range on between two kingdoms that once got along prosperously until one from one kingdom killed another from the other, then war became announced. These killings due to the lone killer's actions have caused destruction and mayhem among two that were once one. With the wise ones heading to the gallows all is lost on hope except for thousands to die in the matter of meager mortals decisions.

Another great piece of music you have created. I enjoyed it greatly.

MaestroRage responds:

It is strange, how rash emotions have often ruined ideal and prosperous scenerios. It is no surprise to read the head of the lion, like always, will attack what it pleases. The body, must sadly follow regardless of what it may be thinking.

It is a story that rings true in history as well as fiction. Well written The-Great-One!

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it! Sorry for the late response, keeping track of reviews are incredibly hard with the new system!
