Incredible take on an enviroment

Its been a long time i got so captured by a background/enviroment as i was with this one. I first saw it in the flash, but it really makes a wonderful scene by itself.
I don't know why i love it, I can't put my finger on it at all. It must be some kind of awesome mix of color, style and the prespective (wich I don't think is off at all, just wide). To be able to look at a scene and dream yourself away into that world is more than just an image.

This is a total inspiration.
Also, i really look forward to seeing more of Khale :)

Awesome!

I really like how you applied perspective, the viewpoint isn't really realistic but it still looks cool. The colors and shading are done nicely as well. The only thing is that some of the lighting seems to be off, mainly on the trees in the back. Overall it's a really amazing picture though, try adding more detail and texture, that might make it look even better.

WOW

Your backgrounds are amazing!

Time And Effort Well Spent

...This is a really cool background piece...perspective is slightly off, not sure if it's designed to be a background that pans seeing as you have 2 vanishing points, 1 the horizon the sun is on and 2 the one where the trees disappear near the ground...

...The sun is a bit distracting as a whole piece, but if you break it up as if it were a panning shot, then it fits in quite nicely...

...Hope that was helpful...

LeafWorthy responds:

Hahah, funny. The thing is, it was designed as a panning shot, from the top to the bottom, but then I sadly found out that it lagged terribly once played in the .swf, so I changed it to a still shot (see "2 - Story of Khale"). Thanks for the crit!

This is really awesome.

Seriously dude, this is a beautiful environmental piece. The colors are just perfect, and the lines are really crisp. It really feel like I'm watching the sun set/rise.
Treetop villages FTW!
(Ah, and thanks for scouting me. :3)
