Reviews for "_-={Lacrioso's Breeze}=-_"

Well Done!

You did a pretty good job on that, i like how you put that all together!

MaestroRage responds:

Thank you, I am glad you liked it! Thank you for the review.

Woah, lucky! Both of you! :D

Who knew you'd get first on the weekly top 5? Don't know how much this matters to either of you but hey, it's gotta mean something, right? :P It's a really good song. Time to review it... >:)

It's a grand-sounding intro, giving me the image of a king, regally making his entrance at last into a ceremony of great importance. Everyone takes their hats off before the king and bows. And it's a strong image, too.

And now a very nice, long piano solo. It's also great - and is it Lacrioso's composition? Heh, I've got to say you're lucky to collab with someone so talented with it. (And Lacrioso's lucky to collab with you. :D)

Ah, here comes a choir. And strings now. They're a bit overpowering. Now, the problem is the low ranges the piano's in here gets mixed with the choirs, and overpowered by the strings, and it becomes hard to hear. There's also a bit of fuzzy quality due to clashing notes which happens... at the end of the eighth measure after the strings come in, I think.

Hmm. This is so different from what I normally hear from you - true, it's a collab and I should expect it, but still - I hardly get any image at all other than the aforementioned one of a king, and that one's of the introduction. :\ One came to mind just now, actually - while I don't get much from the piano solo, I do get the image of an aged man sitting down and reflecting on his life. But that's it, unfortunately. :( Happens sometimes, I guess.

Still hope you enjoyed this review - it's a great song. Keep making the great stuff, Maestro. :D

MaestroRage responds:

I'll try to keep entertaining teh people as long as I can!

As for the piano composition. The first 10 seconds or so along with the entire string intro was entirely of Lacrioso's doing. He showed me this song a while back and I asked him to let me try and continue the piano piece to give me practice on creating piano works.

He accepted, and the rest is me trying to stay with the flow. I lost myself and put in a choir/string section at the end, because I just couldn't help it :D

Thank you for the review Karco. it's true, sometimes the imagery just doesn't come. I don't blame you, happens to me sometimes too. I'm glad you liked it ^^.

Choppy in some parts, but otherwise pretty good!!!

Originality: It isn't often that I hear this kind of music, but there's probably a world of it out there somewhere else. Unfortunately, it isn't always at Newgrounds, but it shines here. Sounded very uplifting, in a battle victory sort of way. Or maybe a noble castle of great importance. Sweet!

Diversity: Between strings and piano, it was extremely varied in the music. While keeping a reoccurring theme within the musical parts, the sound came to be pleasant. It could be slightly more dynamic, but it worked out nicely within the piece.

Clarity: :D

Effort :D

-Btw, nice resolving chord.

I've got a new song called Shanghai Paragon, could you check it out? If not that's all good.

good work

Hi Masetro,

Wow, this was a good piece of music. You know what I saw in this piece of music? Ending credits to a movie. It had that kind of quality to it, or maybe the hero (or heroine) is thinking about his/her family and friends just before they go and fight the last boss. Anyway this was a good piece as I said before. Write more :)

MaestroRage responds:

will do Leasky! I did enjoy working on this piece as it was outside my normal scope. I would have to thank Lacrioso for that, if not for his assistance I'd still be just refining my angry/sad epic/battle works.

Gotta fly higher then that!

Your imagery works well for the piece. It seems sentimental feelings were the dominant feeling here. I was afraid I had put in sorrow or sadness unintentionally, as I tend to do that sometimes.

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Wow.

Ten bucks says I can tell you where the first couple seconds of the song is from.

Not saying anything, but Lacrioso is a master of wasting nothing, apparently :D

Beautiful. Just beautiful.

What did I think of when I was listening to this?

You know those dramatic moments in movies, where the camera is centered on one person, and it slowly pans out and in circles slowly going above that person.

Now, imagine that on a small island, ivory white sands and whatnot. One man, under a tree, sleeping in the shade.

I can find nothing wrong with this piece. Beautiful sound, beautiful mood. You guys should make a CD, I'd buy it, that's for damn sure.

McPerfect. No question.

-Solus

(By the way, you guys have got to teach me one of these days.)

MaestroRage responds:

heh, I didn't recognize the first ten seconds as anything, but then again I listen to surprisingly less then I should in the field I work in :/...

That imagery works out quite well. Merging them both eh. On a tropical paradise... man this song is going to give me some dreams tonight! I hope there's food on the island :(.

We'd be happy to show you what we know Solus! Hit us up, and we'll hit you back equally hard!

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it ^^.
