Reviews for "Foxtails Business (Campaign Alpha!)"

It's fun, but buggy. Not that it impedes gameplay but rather that it makes the game easier. Cards sometimes don't disappear or don't use up energy, beds break the energy system and sometimes you just make ludicrous amounts of money for no real reason.

good game, common bug i keep getting is i click on a card it removes the card, but doesnt put it in action so it doesnt increase a stat and/or removes a combo and takes my energy/money.

"You win!"
Me: hurray for bugs and exploits.
As payment for this joy: By rapidly clicking the cards you drastically increase the chance of that card not going away thus allowing you to use it again, and again, and again.
Some days I'd get 0 income.
Some others I'd get 50k+ from ONE bang card. Also when you stack the bed prepping card it kinda doubles or triples the daily energy gain.
Also that one time I got high on caffeine pills XD: 20 energy points from one multiclick card lol
Main thing this game lacks is variety. Maybe prep several CGs for every card? Then have them pop up at random. Would make things more interesting, and the grinding less boring

P.S. "No Cheats"...That killed me🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Edit:
Blow me.
No seriously... I am doin the arcade mode with Hoodie... and got the mother of all jackpots with the "double earnings card"...on day 21 I made.....10 mil+ cash...lol
P.P.S. On that same run......it happened again....made 65mil+ in one day...

The rating is for the game overall. I've enjoyed the past several versions of this game and enjoy this one too. Unfortunately there's some bugs that impact the gameplay that didn't exist in previous public versions. Hopefully my bug report below can help you iron these out for future versions.

Not sure if these are just in the web version or not:
- Starting Campaign mode:
- - Stat pictures don't clear when you open settings menu and actually draw on top layer
- - All stat descriptions are the one for oral (maybe forgot to change index for string array?)

- In Campaign mode:
- - Clicked an idea card, it didn't play the animation and instead changed cost to -1 energy (later discovery: changes to negative of original energy cost). Clicking it seems to have given me the card effect again AND increased my energy. Seems to occur if you click again quickly while the animation plays, but I can't reproduce it reliably...
- - Clicked an idea card and it disappeared (animation played) without giving the reward. It does not take the cost, just removes the card. Reproduced on both idea and customer cards by holding down left-mouse instead of just clicking.
- - Probably related to the previous two: somehow made a customer card not disappear after being clicked (was the last of my available energy). It did not end up with negative cost like the idea cards though. Again, I can't reliably reproduce it.

In regards to the strange card behavior, I suspect these bugs existed in your old code, but are now possible to trigger due to implementing the spinning card animation (more time available to interfere with the code). While a permanent fix that retains the animation will be nice, an immediate solution is to remove the spinning animation from the cards. Up to you. I'm not sure what developing in Unity looks like, but I think the first place to look for a permanent fix is the "click a card" event: make sure that you stop listening for events on that card before playing the card animation.

That's all for bug hunting today. I'll update with more info if I come across anything else while playing or find a way to reliably reproduce the bugs where cards persist.

FoxtailVulpes responds:

Hey, thanks for the bug report! I think you've mentioned a few that nobody even noticed in the discord. I'm working on fixing those now. I can't believe so many bugs slipped by, I thought it was better ;_;

When I click on customer cards they don't activate, but they do vanish, so I end up without customers every single night and end up losing on night 2 or 3 if I have luck. I couldn't really play it because of this bug and hence can't correctly rate it, so I'll give you 3 stars because it has potential.
