Amazing game. Wish I knew it had come out sooner. The change from turn based to something akin to ATB is a great change. It's structured so well too. Stage 1 uses an upgraded version of Sonic's moveset from episode 8 while adding in Drives to get you acclimated. Stage 2 gives skills the same effects as Drives and even gives them indicative names of what drive they copy. Stage 3 feels like the real final battle that the episode has been building up to. Skills get revamped names, no longer needing to remind you of what skill does what. But most importantly, now that you're acclimated to drives, Seelkadoom gets drives of his own. It's also appropriate that while Sonic has Hyper Drive, a super mode which was his defining trait in earlier episodes, Seelkadoom's final phase is a huge resource drain, a massive version of his Osmose. Great game, worth the wait.
