Okay, this is pretty great! Never too hard, but super funny, interesting and adorable.
This game follows the adventures of Detective GUI, who has to traverse some puzzle platforming levels to discover the truth behind the case he's investigating. Every level takes place in a simple two-screen room, each having its own little gimmick. Many levels are beaten by interacting with the GUI, using speech bubbles as platforms, and stuff like that. I was really surprised when one level had me watch some security camera videos to learn what to do next. This game is full of little surprises like that, and I love them.
There are also some parts where you have to use knowledge acquired in one level to solve another level, adding an element of investigation and exploration to the mix.
I also have a soft spot in my heart for the retro aesthetic with simple lines on a black background, and the music is good too. Not a single level was hella hard, but heck, they were enjoyable enough in spite of that.
I had originally commented that there is a gap between story and gameplay, but the gap closes up as you advance through the game, so it's no problem at all.
