I enjoyed the game, it is well made and simplistic and easy to play. It was fun.

Clarification though; do the monster effects like "Generates Experience" work outside of battle, or inside only?

They work in both - in battle and outside (and when idle/offline too) 😉
I agree with the other review; this is a nice little incremental game. For a simple game, it's already basically complete, so anything you plan to add to the mechanics, sound, or graphical elements will be an expansion.
The balance is actually fairly well done. I left the game for one day, and when I came back, I had like 4.5 K reapers and 18 K skeletons on level 53 or so, and after quickly earning twenty levels and upgrading my skills, I figured I was unbeatable, but by level 100, I was already starting to run out of reapers. For the final version, perhaps you can tinker with the numbers a bit, but it works pretty well.
