Reviews for "Bunny's Cavern"

How does it just keep getting harder, I can't my dude. I quit at level 10, but great game.

Really good!

Small issues/hints to consider:
- The dash length seems to vary which adds an unwanted rng element. Sometimes the dash wont work at all although it wasnt used yet (Bunny not red).
- That the bunny turns red after the dash to tell the player that it cant dash anymore without landing was something I learned in one of the last rooms (far too late) - on erlier levels it was so short that I thought it was a bug that the bunny was just blinking red for a split second. I would recommend to add some levels at the game start which require long jumps - where the player has to be in the air after the dash was done for a longer time. Maybe first a long jump over spikes, then let him fall into a pit where he has to use left/right air control only in order to evade spikes?
- The music is too repetitive (Ok, I wasted myself here a bit with 690 deaths. I am getting old, maybe. But if you make the game longer yau should check for something more adequate, although I like the sound of the music - just not the repeat after like 3 seconds. Go for some cave ambient instead of music, maybe?)
- My personal feeling is that the bunny should jump half a block away from the wall first when walljumping. This would give the player time to change directions on the arrow keys into the direction of the jump. But maybe I'm just an old Snes Metroid fanboy.

larger issues to consider:
- replayability: Currently not present. I will recommend the game to my friends, but I will not play it again. Reasons: 1.) There is no indication whether the collectable items do anything. I actually didnt get all of them, for I considered the level where you were hunted by the spike wall as too tidious. At the end of the game, you should let the player play each zone/level where he missed something (unlock level select). The levels are difficult enough to allow this. 2.) There is no clock system in the game telling me how long each level took me, and the total time. This should be quite easy to implement and make this game a real treasure for speedrunners. 3.) After the game ended, indicate some bonus level doors: One that says "I am open until XX:XX" Another that says "I am open if 100 lives or less were lost" etc. This will make players replay the game again and again in order to unlock the bonus levels.

See you around, I hope you keep up polishing this gem!

Very challenging.. very responsive controls. Very well done graphics. Especially loved the intro sequence. What more could you ask for?

I was hooked til the end. Really enjoyed the challenge!!!
