Undead cutie with a bootie
Ah, what a time to be a Skullgirls fan. Not only we got the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch version of the game recently, but we are also getting a new surge of Skullgirls tributes; all of which include art and animation. What a time to be a SG fan indeed.
It is surely a pleasure to see an animation featuring resident undead cutie Squigly; though my fav character is Ms. Fortune (best catgirl), I have to admit that Squigly has a special place in my heart. Not only she has the most heartfelt and, in my humble opinion, best story mode, but she's one of the most likeable and versatile members of the cast. So, ultimately, animations like this one are always welcome.
I have to say that my favorite thing about this animation is how slick and fluid it seems. Ranging from Squigly's character design, to her playfully slapping her rump, facial expression and Leviathan, her loyal parasite, pleasuring her womanhood, and finally, the small, but noticeable details like Lev's DAT-ASS face and Sienna's surprised reaction, this animation is surely a sight for sore eyes.
MissMoonified voice is also wonderful. Sure, Squigly is only moaning on this one, but I think that MissMoonified's voice goes great with Squigly's, and that it also gives the character a more "cute" appeal. The sound design is also great; particularly the sound effects like the slapping and "squishy" body sounds. It makes the animation more enjoyable.
Last but not least, the coloring. The light effects are wonderful. I love how the moonlight shines on Squigly; while the use of a dark color scheme goes great with Sienna. I also like the light-purple sky; it gives the animation a more solemn feel, while it also mashes up well the moon. Overall, the color design helps make this animation highly memorable.
All in all, this short animation is one excellent tribute to Skullgirls and Squigly. It's good to see passionate content creators making detailed and amazing animations like this one. Congratulations to all parties involved!
